Some Tahoe Quilts Completed

I don't have a ton of Tahoe quilts to show you, but I do have a few that are done. It's fun to see them completed after all our hard (and fun) work on them.

I was surprised at how much I loved that orange one. After making that, I decided to work with orange and yellow more often. The third photo above was completed before our retreat. I wanted to see what one would look like, to make sure we were making a decent pattern for the retreat.

This next one was completed and sent to QBB, but I was so excited to photograph it, I couldn't wait until I got it bound. Then I forgot to take a photo of it with its binding on! Hope it doesn't feel too exposed.

Tahoe Retreat a Success!

By now you've heard (at our Yahoo message board) about what fun we had at our retreat at Tahoe. It was a beautiful place to meet, well organized, and meeting each other in person was so much fun. We enjoyed lots of laughs, and to make 78 quilts was completely awesome. We shocked ourselves!! It was because of all the help of others, sending us blocks, block parts, and fabric. We couldn't have done it without everyone pitching in.

Here is a link to Carol's blog, with lots of pictures from the retreat.

We are all eager to see the first Tahoe quilts when they have been quilted and bound. Keep on sewing, everyone!

Quilts for Sunshine!

We have been neglectful of this little blog! Here are some pictures of quilts that have been sent to Sunshine projects: Quilts Beyond Borders and Wrap a Smile. We've been busy making more quilts, and I guess that explains why we don't take time to write on the blog! Happy quilting, everyone.
