Today we went on the bus at 7:30 am. Again we had an hour and a half trip. Started our day with small children and ended with a 33 yr old and a 64 yr old woman. The woman had a double cleft and has spent her whole life covering her face with a scarf. Her son talked her into registration. The whole family came to the hospital to cheer her on. And her sisters cried with the result. I think all of us had a tear when the family thanked the surgeon a d us as well. We had family all around us. You couldn't help but be tearful. The relief you See on the parents faces when the children come out of recovery tells it all. Standing on your feet all day long is hard. But, what a trip. The Rotarian ladies have provided our lunch each day and what good food we have been partaking.
