W.A.S. Quilts in India

Recognize any of these quilts? I love it when Sunshine members can identify their own. If not, it's still great fun to see the kids with quilts. We know ours are doing the same good work. Be sure to check out the Rotaplast blog. There are more pictures with a few edges of quilts. I just couldn't download them all. You might recognize one of yours from its border or binding.

Sunnies in Houston

Pictured here are three Sunshine members -- Ann, Terry, and Sue. They are all in Houston. Terry asked me to post the picture. I'm not sure, but maybe they were standing at or near the QBB table?

Rotaplast Adventure in Philippines

Rotaplast recently visited Cebu City in Philippines, where they endured a giant earthquake in the middle of surgery. All had to be evacuated to outside. Luckily, none of the team or patients was hurt, and they were able, eventually, to get back to doing surgeries.

Is this cutie wearing no-no's made by a Sunshine member?

Boy Blocks

Our challenge to ourselves is to make Boy Blocks for the August Lotto Blocks. I got a start on mine this week and plan to make more as August rolls around.

Rotaplast and WAS Quilts

I found these pictures at the Rotaplast blog. Now I can't remember if they are from Val's trip to Peru or from another mission. Whatever they're from, I like the enjoyment of quilts that the medical staff are showing... and of course, the important people: the patients and their families. Making quilts for Wrap a Smile is rewarding!! How many have you made so far in 2013?

Another Top for Sunshine

Recently I finished this top... it is going to be quilted by SW and sent on to Wrap Them in Love. Some of the fabrics were sent to me by Ellen of WTIL. I'm slowly making my way through the pile of her fabrics.

Thanks to SW for volunteering to quilt 3 tops for me! I love how Sunshine members work together!

Rotaplast Team Holding Sunshine

The Rotaplast team in Peru, including Sunshine member Valerie, poses with two quilts representing Wrap-a-Smile. The quilt on the right is a Lotto Blocks quilt put together by Tammy -- 100% Sunshine! Way to go, Team!

My many thanks to Rosa. She was my translator. My 'right hand man'. We were together most days from early to when we went home. She made my life enjoyable. Thanks Rosa, if you see this.

Clinic over, prepare to go home

After the clinic was ended we noticed that the parents were staying in the clinic lobby. After a final goodbye from Weismann we left.
Many had lunch together, packed, did a little shopping and went to the airport.  We are tired and ready to go home.
